here goes:
shampoo
Giovani~ makes my hair flat and oily, fake scent
Burts Bees Pomegranite~ Too expensive and make my hair dry, fake scent
Whole Foods Unscented 365~ Clean fluffy hair, a little drying and not in love with the lather
Alafia Shea butter shampoo~ hate the lather, leaves the residue, natural scent
John Master's Zinc shampoo~ Love it, makes my hair clean and shiny, not too oily, or frizzy, I think the scent is fake
Avalon Organics Shampoo~ eh, for like 5 dollars less I can get 365 shampoo with the same ingredients:) and twice as much shampoo. True! I like it ok, the lather is flat and it does leave a bit too much residue on my hair.
As one can see, shampoo is an issue if you are looking for a 100% natural hair washing. Most shampoos are created with sodium laurel sulfate and fake scent. The sls can cause cancer if there are allot of sores on your head and you find yourself scratching all the time, stop using that stuff as soon as possible, like now.
What to do?
I know, I know, you can rinse with vinegar and use baking soda..I am not always in the mood for apple cider vinegar. Clay, you say? Wonderful, fluffy hair, a bit drying and takes two weeks to finally rinse out of your hair. :)
People ask me why I do not make shampoo.
Well, for one thing, I am not a chemist. I can buy a pre-mixed "natural foaming agent for hair" and call it my own, which seems like a hassle.
The only benefit to that would be the scenting issue, which I am all for natural scenting in shampoo, that is for sure!
Back to what is real is that I am using right now, Natures Gate Tea Tree Shampoo. It has SLS and some sort of tea tree scent in it.
Next shampoo ready to be used will be Giovani's Body and Hair Shampoo with grapefruit oil. We will see, Giovani! We'll see!
Friday I will rinse all that crap out of my hair with vinegar and start fresh.

Are you thinking what I am thinking?
Yes, time to rest your weary bones and stay home for a spell and make yourself some food and share it with your brood.
Now is the time to inhale of life's brilliance and withdraw from fear
withdraw from pain and shame, you hear!
It isn't just a bunch of hullabaloo. Just ask for it and it comes to you. From now on the words I speak with heal, prosper and adore you and myself.
I think as all the astro stuff goes direct in 2011 and takes us on a lovely journey filled with Uranus and Jupiter getting us all fired up in Aries. Yumm
Neptune going in to Pisces by April is really cool and of course Saturn in Libra for a spell.
Let's shine in all ways and explore new ideas in skin care.
I think I am going to compose my own list of favorites.

Limited-edition, because oils change every year. Yea, sure, I can do peppermint with oats and Eucalyptus pretty consistently, but not patchouli or even vetiver. Here is where the true flavors, the auras of scent truly wake up our senses and change with each season. Undaunted, they develop in to crisp smells that warm you from your nose to your toes.:)

the grapevines
The grapevines that I had pulled in the beginning of sumer and which I had made in to a pile of wreathes which my cucumbers could grown upon are naked now as I have pulled the last of my cucumber vine art, they are free and still quite lovely. Each one having its own character and size.
I have a thing about grapevines, you see. And to add to that, I always seem to live near them, close enough where I can go a ways and pull them to my hearts content and allow myself an indulgence and experience the thrill that makes me go beyond my threshold of fear and pain.
Yea I am a gnarly bitch, I will tell you that.
Last night it rained and they are moist enough to re-mold and make what ever they want to become this year. I am so blessed like that. I enter This Season (Autumn) with eyes wide open and ready for vibrant and energized time of it.

It is always all about what I am making this week. My ideas are many and patience always tested as I like to have things right now.
I loved this clove soap that I had once made with wild sweet orange from Dominican Republic. My beautiful Tonie loves it. She said it was delightful.
It is something I have been craving since she told me this.
The roughness of the rhassoul clay I had added made it gritty yet gentle. The freshness of the orange and depth of clove. So rejuvinatingly spectacular!
Rhassoul Clove and Clay Soap is on the list.
The Rustic Hazelnut Honey Soap is turning out to be something nice I must say, I hope you get to try some. It is sharp and has a smoky note, but don't ask me to analyze the flavor of the scent. I am a simple woman. You should tell me what it reminds you of.
But lets talk about distiled lime oil. I love it. Dare I make a soap with it? Dare I mix it with that cacao absolute I just got?
How about ylang ylang with neroli in soap with one drop cinnamon co2? Sigh!:)
I am very blessed this day to have such a rich life filled with creativity and love.

troglodyte cave dweller
What, has it been almost three weeks since I have ranted?
You know how August is, so I do not make excuses and besides that the sun in my 8th house always makes me a little introverted.
Now it's your turn to say, "no, you are not shy".
Ask me to speak in a microphone and I might cry or something.
I am better off shouting at you from across the room.
If you're a Virgo person, you should be feeling almost giddy if that is possible and you could at this time venture out of your cave to greet us all with your ideas and ways in which you can actually make things happen. Be honest and do not be afraid of your grody side.
Now that Saturn is leaving Virgo for good and just happens to be in Libra.
Oh, the foreboding and doldrums, Oh, the hard work and lack of spunk. Libra feels that already but yea, maybe Libra should do one thing at a time and with some love not because it has to be done.
Listen the thing with Saturn here is that Libra has a chance to be who Libra is. Fair, kind, beautiful, regal.. Can Libra do the right thing? Not what looks good either. The actual right thing?
Hey man, I am just the messenger and a fellow Libra. I do know that this also goes for Capricorn too.
With Pluto in Capricorn right now and for a long while, we are in a huge change over makeover and remember phase.
Talk about a powerful time in our collective consciousness and Capricorn is right there cutting through all the shit and telling it how it is and, looking mighty fine the whole time.

With Uranus in Aries right now, we are focused, and all about world peace and love. Watch out for the one who has a bit of Pisces mixed in the chart somewhere and you may have a true artist. One with skills beyond words and a vision to carry them through. Extremist, visionary, skills. Great stuff really, try not to tromp too hard while crossing a room even though some may enjoy that.
Cancer people, go shopping. Buy some new clothes, meet some new people like yourself and make yourself feel pretty. Not that it would hard for you. Your ethereal beauty is astounding. You are also in more control than you think. Stop nurturing all your fears and step forward.

It takes me a while to grasp the full bloom of a scent combination. I need to go to it in the beginning and sniff and then later, go again and see what has changed.
When I work with labdanum, this becomes more acute.
It changes things. It transforms into sweet, or tangy and always adds some thing. Something not always pleasant I might say.
Remember when I made that patchouli soap with so much labdanum that it made your eyes water? Yea, well, a year later, that one still reeks. You can use it and 12 hours later, it still lingers on your skin.
I must be crazy!
And speaking of crazy Sagittarius. How are we ever to understand them?
If you know the answer to that, write me.
I mention Sag, because The Red Dragon is all Sag if you ask me. Very Jupiter and big and bold. When you get in the middle of the bar ( which at my house is about a day), you get the damiana and the labdanum and of course you get all the frankincense that you want.

She sent me a box with like this dark almost maroon soap and some perfumes she had made.
Now mind you I am not one for alcohol perfumes but I always dab some of hers on because it evaporates so nicely off of my skin leaving me with a faint whisper of scent from some flower. I always ask myself how she blends like that? I feel like a troglodyte among her things. :)
She sends me this bar of soap with so much old rose oil in it I almost fainted. You know I went directly in the bath tub with it. 30 minutes later, I was still lingering in the rosy water. It has been one of the most exquisite bathing experiences I have ever had. How do you do that? How do you put so much rose oil in something you are going to rinse off?
This is how I see it; You can hoard things or enjoy them if only the one time, OK, one more time, and then you savor the memory.

Pluto Vibes
Pluto Vibes Soap
Pluto's symbol, combines the circle (spirit) over the crescent (receptivity) and the cross (matter). The glyph suggests spiritual receptivity to "superworlds" or the superconscious, placed above the physical world.
Pluto is associated with renewal and rebirth. It represents endings and new beginnings, as well as spiritual growth and rebirth.
That all sounds nice but it isn't always. Sometimes tragic things happen, especially when you have been clinging to something far too long.
A dirty little secret just crops up and bites you in the ass.
Don't get all freaked out, take a minute to know what is real and for Shakti's sake wash with some thing good. Preferably some ylang vanilla jasmine pluto power soap...:)
Take that creative force, that regenerative power inside you and make your desires real.
Shea butter, extra virgin stone ground olive oil (unfiltered, organic coconut oil, avocado oil, essential oils.
How about some vanilla, and organic ylang ylang extra to start with.
Here you can experience the comfort of vanilla, the sweetness and joy of it only after you have realized the deep anguished gut feeling of the truth which ylang ylang brings.
There are a few drops of bergamot to brighten this blend but let me tell you that there is also jasmine sambac to bring a little goddess wisdom.
Clear the air, will you. Get rid of old useless feelings and behavior. You must say what is on your mind and best done when you use kind words, even if they are a bit too loud. Most likely with Pluto, the truth stings a little and may come to you in an unconventional way. Focus on what you want and ask The Source not people.
The real vanilla is traditionally part of a fast-money fix along with the essential oil of cinnamon & you burn and/or wear them both in a blend. I add vanilla to rose, patchouli, grapefruit and ylang-ylang to make a mix I call Venusian 9. It is awesome but you have to watch that one doesn’t tip in too much vanilla – it wants to dominate & it is a plant of Pluto.

The Dark Dragon (Soap)
I have been making soap all week and formulating new potions. Today I brewed up some really lovely black copal and dragon's blood like I have never brewed before. I remembered something.
As I was melting my resins and their vapors slowly enticed my brain I was able to dive in deep to this blend and come out with perhaps a "Come To Me" Soap
You heard me. I said, come to me. Come with all your honest dirty truths and I'll wash them clean away. But never think of me as a dirty whore or the magic will delay.
Oh, sorry, I got carried away.
To these two resins, I added a bit of cedar and fir and a touch of benzoin, some juniper berries and steeped saffron black pepper and a touch and I mean a smidge of bergamot.
Just enough brightness bergamot opens your heart closed by grief to receive and give joy. You have to clear the way and make room right?

review on diatomaceous earth and black salt soap
It looks vicious really. I mean some of the salt went in to to a leaky phase at first and now it has dried in to little salt hills all over it. When you first wash with it it feels like it might be rough on the bod babe, but it isn't. It is slick at first and then gives you some lather. Some lather because olive oil, isn't quick to give much to begin with. I only added a little bit of coconut oil (cold pressed organic) and the rest is all fossil powder. I never planned it to be a charcoal based soap but it turns out the salt I put in it is loaded with it.
Diatomaceous Earth is really rich in silica and it turns out that our bodies are too. Our hair and teeth and nails all are silica based and life cannot exist without it.
